Background

Specialising in training and sharing her extensive experience within the music industry across Europe, Katia has taken the lead on setting goals and targets to support the integration of sustainability into the event industry. Co-founder of Eco.Reverb, collaborating with clients to develop best-in-class Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) strategies, policies, procedures and monitoring approaches in events. Helping festival organizers and venue, to take their first steps towards sustainability in action, to reduce their environmental impact, following the 17 Sustainable Development Goals set by the global Agreement 2030 Agenda. Based in UK since 2013, she collaborates with A Greener Festival as Environmental Assessor for UK/European festivals. In May 2020, Katia contributed the section on Sustainability requests to the ‘La Musica che Gira’ document on the point n. 4, which asks the Italian government to take into account the real needs of the cultural sector in regard to environmental impact. Specifically, focused on key aspects such as energy consumption; transports; greenhouse gas compensation and offset; purchasing and resource usage; waste management; water and recycling. In December 2021 Alternative Power 100 Music List 2021 – Honoree nominated by Shesaid.so to have contributed to support and encourage the global community of women and gender minorities in the music industry to reduce the music industry’s environmental impacts.
